Requirements

Before you take that first step and sign up for Adsense there are some BASIC requirements and policies you need to understand:

1. You must have a valid URL that points to an active Website or Blog (ie. www.myblog.com).

TIP#1 If you don't have your own blog you can signup for FREE one at www.blogger.com.

TIP#2 If you don't have your own website you can signup for FREE hosting at pages.google.com.

2. You must have a permanent mailing address.

3. You need to be at least 18 years old.

4. Your website must NOT CONTAIN:

- Excessive profanity
- Violence, racial intolerance, or advocate against any individual, group, or organization
- Hacking/cracking content
- Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
- Pornography, adult, or mature content
- Gambling or casino-related content
- Excessive advertising
- Any other content that promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others
- Pop-ups, pop-unders or exit windows that interfere with site navigation, obscure Google ads, change user preferences, or are for downloads.
- Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site's search engine ranking, e.g., your site's PageRank
- Incentives (monetary or point-based) to users or third-party beneficiaries for online activity including, but not limited to, clicking on ads or links, performing searches, surfing websites, reading emails, or completing surveys
- Sales or promotion of certain weapons, such as firearms, ammunition, balisongs, butterfly knives, and brass knuckles
- Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol
- Sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products.
- Sales or promotion of prescription drugs
- Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods.

5. Your website must not contain other affiliate advertising that mimics the "look" of Adsense. (ie. Adbrite)

6. Your website must not contain other affiliate advertising that uses "contextual" ads (ie. advertisements that are generated automatically based on the content of your website).

NOTE: Amazon "Omakase" ads can be used in conjunction with Adsense.

7. Your website must not encourage visitors to click on Adsense ads in any fashion.

8. You must never click on your own Adsense ads. You can always install a FREE utility like Adlogger to prevent click fraud.

9. You must not modify that Google Adcode in any manner. Simply cut and paste it as is.

10. Do Not make web pages that just contain Adsense Ads. Your web pages must contain actual content.

If you can adhere to these requirements and policies then your ready to signup for Adsense!
